"I first saw this film when it was first finished at a theatre here in Portland. The line was around the block and I was grateful to get in. I still remember how much it moved me all these years later, so when I saw it at the library I figured it was worth another look. It is excellently made and seamlessly tells the story of Edward Weston the famous photographer, and his partner and later wife, Charis WIlson who also deserves some fame of her own because theirs was a true partnership, but that wasn't how it worked back then.
