You know the well-dressed butt-in; the man of superior air who offers suggestions to hard working mechanics, telling them what he thinks they should do. Usually the workmen listen good-naturedly but when Mr. Hurlburt, fashionably dressed from his patent leather shoes to his silk hat, essayed the role of general advisor to a force of bricklayers, they objected. From their perch on the first story scaffold the workmen are in an ideal position to object. Mr. Hurlburt never suspected. When the mechanics said "Fire," Mr. Hurlburt found himself beneath a shower of bricks and mortar. When he could breathe he shouted for the police. They came on the run and what happened is history.
