Princess Syalis's full name, according to the manga comic, is Aurora Syalis Goodreste. These three names all refer to sleeping:
- Syalis refers to "suyasuya", the Japanese sound effect for a peaceful sleep (the English counterpart is "zzzz")
- Aurora refers to the Sleeping Beauty (1959) princess
- and Goodreste is self-explanatory (in Japan the name is "Kaymin", named after "kaimin", the Japanese word for "good rest").
