Taz (Peter Senerchia) reintroduced the ECW FTW Title, which he had introduced in 1998, and awarded it to Brian Cage. This was the first appearance of the title in over 20 years, the last time having been the match where ECW World Heavyweight Champion Taz defeated ECW FTW Champion Sabu (Terry Brunk) to unify the belts at ECW Living Dangerously '99 (1999). Back in ECW in 1998, Taz was frustrated that all his hard work and training had only gotten him to the ECW World Television Title, which he called "second place," and not the ECW World Heavyweight Title held by Shane Douglas at the time. That led to Taz introducing the FTW (Fuck The World) Heavyweight Title.
