"The relationship and intimacy between John and Abigail is the strongest emotional cord throughout the series. Other aspects of the story is well done but this great American love story was brought to life perfectly. Giamatti and Linney are exceptional tailored for each other as these characters; the few times the series stumbles it never involved the marriage.
