Spin Wars was an idea inspired by a YouTube Contest, "Project Direct 2009". The contest rules were, the short could be about anything, no longer then five minutes and three props had to be used. A red phone and from a list of twenty five props, two props had to be used. Sundance has been around for twenty-five years and each of the props they had chosen were from a movie they had shown there. Of course, we used all twenty five props, including the red phone. We submitted the five minute for the YouTube Contest. It was edited quickly and became an abstract piece. Now, this version is five minutes longer and has the emotional undercurrent that was needed originally.
