Visually stunning but surprisingly unemotional
"The story and soundtrack were a bit over the top for me to take it seriously. It would have been better if the score didn't drown out the story so much. You have to be patient to watch this film. It had some good commentary on what women went through in Europe during those times. I'm a pretty sensitive person and this film, though the story elicits a dramatic response, somehow didn't hit the mark for me. It's still worth a watch but I wouldn't watch it again...."
