We Had That Mixer
"Isn't that what most people say when they look at these old industrial films? We had that mixer, that toaster, that howitzer when I was kid? But I recognize that mixer, which lived under the cabinet, and was mostly pulled out when my elderly relatives came over to make gefilte fish for Passover, from the fish that spent a few hours swimming in the bath tub. I'm not sure what the Federal government was doing, figuring out how to design kitchens for farmers. However, farmers were a much courted segment of the population, because they were seen as very canny in getting Federal dollars ..."
