"The rebooted The Equalizer suffers some of the same problems as the rebooted Walker. Both were tough no nonsense loners in the original. In the new incarnation they are saddled with kid(s). So the main story of the week as to give way to the domestics and establishing a story and character arcs. Robyn McCall comes to the aid of a kidnapped boy by a bunch of east European human traffickers. At the same time she needs to do a deal with her former employers, the CIA.
