"I don't know what has happened to the writing here. I think making Jake and Amy parents was not great writing but what makes it worse is bringing the child into episode as a hurdle all the time. No one cares to see Amy and Jake as parents and worse be dragged down by their child. We know it's all not real and not necessary. We grew fond of the quirky characters and comedy in the precinct, this made the show great. We couldn't care less and don't need to see Jake and Amy pretending to be parents. We know what being an adult looks like so screen time does not need to be waste..."
