"During the first few seasons of "American Experience", the show often looked at seldom talked about individuals instead of bigger and more familiar subjects. Folks like Angie Debo, James Agee and Bascom Lamar Lunsford would never have been talked about anywhere else but on this show, as they aren't exactly household names nor folks you learn about in history classes. Bascom Lamar Lunsford was a man with an unusual passion.
