💡 Did You Know?

This segment promotes the widely-discredited Hollywood myth that Harlow's second husband, Paul Bern, committed suicide because he was impotent. This notion was put about by Harlow's former agent, Arthur Landau, in his biography of her, and was repeated in the 1965 film starring Carroll Baker. Many have disputed this claim and it seems likely that Bern was in fact murdered by a rejected lover. This is not considered by Barry Norman in this show.
