"Could be a much larger and better movie if they hadn't wasted the budget on those songs. Like literally the whole budget was spent on music, like the background, the sets for it, and the CGI used. Even if you want to put your whole budget into it, then make good songs. Like if they had put more budget into making the lyrics and music itself, that would be much better, as in India many movies became famous just because of the music only. The film marks director Shankar's first direct film in the Telugu language after years of releasing his tamil films dubbed into telugu. Director Shankar owes the success of the Telugu dubbed versions to producer, A.M. Rathnam. Rathnam's association with Shankar dates back to buying Shankar's first 2 films for their Telugu dubbed release. It was the successes of these two films that led to Rathnam to produce Indian & later his debut Hindi film, Nayak.
