"What a great woman! I liked a lot that Brazil and France produced a movie about a so remarkable character, both a pioneer female healthcare professional and a person moved by making society better. The movie is also interesting for highlighting social issues beyond Marie Durocher herself, such as slavery and misogyny. The movie is not free of flaws, as I believe that there are a few anachronisms, and it was a little strange that two actresses played the leading role (both very well, by the way) when she was young and old, but other actors played their roles in both periods, just using makeup. ..."
