After the denouement events in episode 8, many viewers were not impressed that the series had actually clearly "played homage to", or even "blatantly ripped off" a major character Michael Corleone story arc/plot line, from the "The Godfather" film trilogy, with certain end scenes, in "Kin", copying blatantly lifted directorial juxtaposition choices from the equivalent Godfather scenes.
