In the summer of 2008, as part of ethnographic research on women of the intelligentsia, seven Moscow women were interviewed about particular moments of their lives. Their narratives, spanning the period from the birth of the Soviet Union to its eventual demise, and to their present-day experiences in Russia, offer an enlightened look at their reflections of a tumultuous history.
