&apos;Live in Austin&apos; is 48 minutes of pure comedy joy because it never lets up which is rare in a standup routine. This special put Shane Gillis on my radar and watching you can see why the man has blown up in the last few years. You find yourself viewing it a second time within the same week and it still kills like the first go. He&apos;s just extremely likable. A down to earth character where his delivery / personality is able to deliver racy jokes and make them fun without being offensive.

Racism gets mined for gold branched effortlessly into football and the transgendered. Talking about Trump leads to a fantastic impression of him. Shane&apos;s dad gets brought up making for some killer soundbites. Even his sister&apos;s problems get talked about and like everything else he makes it work. In a subject that will be familiar to his fans he closes on a hilarious bit involving the mentally handicapped that isn&apos;t in poor taste.

There&apos;s a lot of great comedians - past and present - who&apos;ve done stand-up videos worth checking out, but it&apos;s rare to find one without segments that miss the mark. I hope Shane Gillis continues to find success and keeps the momentum going whenever it&apos;s thru this or exploring sketch comedy further. &apos;Live in Austin&apos; is one of the best comedy specials I&apos;ve not only watched recently but easily all time.
