"Credit for the success of this programme must certainly go to Robert Robinson who gives the handling of readers' letters point and punch. Although endowed with a natural and incisive wit, Robinson exercises good restraint and his comments are always sensible and well made. On Monday the five-minute spot went at its usual brisk pace. Peter Dimmock answered the correspondent who thought that "Sportsview" should be re-titled "Soccerview" because the programme seemed to contain nothing but reports on football. It is a pity that the programme could not run for 15 minutes, it is strong enough to stand on its own feet."
