"I have only just started watching this historical drama recently and I am berating myself for not checking out this tv show soon. I had not heard much talk or publicity about the Washington Black series and can only assume that quality, intelligent and engaging drama concerning historical events involving Black and White people in the 1800s before the Civil War is not controversial enough to draw the attention of mainstream viewers and critics.
