π‘ Did You Know?
Bernard Hepton, here headlining as Thomas More, would play another historical figure executed by a displeased Tudor monarch: Archbishop of Canterbury Thomas Cranmer - who unlike More - did not oppose Henry's VIII's divorce from Catherine of Aragon, and would be put to death during the reign of Catherine's unforgiving daughter Mary Tudor. Hepton would play Cranmer in four episodes of The Six Wives of Henry VIII (1970) and in Henry VIII and His Six Wives (1972), also cameoing in the role in The Lion's Cub (1971).
