"I'm unsure if it's the VO voice, or fewer people interviewed, but the mysticism of the prior episodes is missing in the latest installments. It also crams in a ton of stats, absent in prior episodes - fine for baseball geeks but really takes the emotional sting out of the subject matter. Rather than a beautiful canvas that sweeps the nation, these latest episodes instead feel like a typical baseball documentary, rather than how it effects and changes America and how it reacts to the players that mesmerize all of us. Because that mastery is missing the sum result of these last episode..."
