A couple of compliments...
"Fine opening monologue. Good to see John doing so well in recovery, and proving that with the addiction-related material he deployed. Also, one of the best Weekend Update segments in years. All the jokes worked - some more than others, of course. The time seemed better spent with nothing but topical wisecracks from the anchors without any of the (usually more annoying than funny) guest characters. Those bits have rarely been a plus since the era of Bill Hader's Stefon...."
