Called by telephone to a patient's bedside, Doctor Ipeca asks his friend Blagafroid to make his clients wait. Visited by a nervous person, then by a depressed person, he orders them both to follow the following regime: every morning, a bottle of Janos water, walk backwards for three hours on the sidewalks and for an hour in the streams with bare feet. The disastrous effects of this therapeutic method soon brought the two furious patients back to Blagafroid. In turn, they subject the temporary doctor to vigorous treatment which will cure him forever of his medical desires.
