"Incredible film! I sat and watched the film and couldn't believe a film as such came out of Finland?! Many of the performances were unexpectedly great. I've seen many foreign films over the years; mainly horror films, but 'Naked Harbour' in my opinion rivals many 2012 American dramas. Some may find the film boring and uneventful, but those sort of people are the ones who'll flock to films like 'Transformers and Twilight' and will never understand the purity of such a film as this. If the Oscars ignore this film I will be shocked and amazed. I recommend this f..."
💡 Did You Know?
The ninth (episodic) storyline about a Finnish mixed martial artist and his Turkish-born girlfriend was filmed, but cut entirely from the film. The actors Antti Luusuaniemi, Asli Bayram and Janne Virtanen received a "special thanks" in the credits. Behind the scenes material from the set (octagon arena in a nightclub) was featured in the episodes Episode #2.119 (2011) and Episode #3.83 (2012). After the premiere of "Vuosaari", director Aku Louhimies announced that the cut scenes would be incorporated and expanded to a feature-length film, tentatively titled "Ultimate Fight". These plans have not yet materialized (only a teaser trailer was released in 2012).
