Interesting delivery

Victim sees a man on the edge of some form of revenge for some sort of wrong or loss. Emotions in the room range across grief, anger, fear, regret, and anguish. In doing so the film is very much one contained scene and in terms of story there will be a lot that you end not knowing the answers or detail. For some this may be frustrating – particularly if you need very specific A-to-B story telling (so if you end the film saying &quot;so wait, the guy was x, y, z&quot; then this is what I meant). I actually liked the way that the film left it to the viewer to draw their own conclusions on that, because the focus was really better spent on the delivery.

The physical performances of the cast are good, very clear and committed to what they are trying to do, but for me I actually enjoyed the work of the composer more. The music did not seem like it was reacting to what the film was doing, or scoring it, so much as the music being as much a part of the performance as the actor in the lead role. So the music reflects the mind-set of the character in a way that worked well on that level. The downside of this was that the performance did feel like it had been squared, so for the more extreme moments of emotion, it had the tendency to overdo it with the actor and the music delivering strongly individually.

In the end the film is one of interesting delivery in terms of the way the music is used, but this comes with some downsides, and generally the film doesn&apos;t offer a great deal more than this interesting style.
