Matanya Eyal is a sensitive, delicate 12-years-old child, lives in the town of Tal Menashe which is located in northern Samaria. Matanya carries within himself an internal conflict that developed following the brutal murder of Esther Horgen - a terrorist attack that he experienced as a very difficult event. Matanya and his father, Noam Eyal, an educator and educational consultant, find it difficult to digest the shock and the occurrence of the attack itself. Beyond the specific, individual case of Matanya, Tal Menashe as a locality experienced a severe upheaval following the murder. Much of this upheaval also concerns the conflict with the forest and the motif of the "detachment" of the settlement from its surroundings. Racheli Weiss, the community coordinator in the locality, tells the story of the Tal Menashe community and its process of dealing with the attack. Noam gives another perspective on the youth's struggle in the locality concerning the attack. Nitzan Avivi, a music producer who lives in Harish, describes the connection that he claims exists between Tal Menashe and the city where he lives, the joint process that the two places go through together, as well as the process of producing the clip in memory of Esther in collaboration with Abigail Amar Uziel and her brother Yeshaya Uziel. How can the residents of the locality contain the image change that is taking place in the forest and in the locality itself - from a "settlement of lite" to a locality point with a difficult security past? Could, as Racheli puts it, the forest be able to turn back from "Skeleton Forest" to "Children's Fairytale Forest" - its first and so innocent name? And in the more local sense: can the locality rise out of mourning and move on, grow and endure against the erosion of the life force by terrorism?
