"I caught this film at a small film festival on Cape Cod. I had seen the director's previous work, Unplayed Lullaby, and greatly admired it! I could see his style come into focus with this work--extended takes, poetic dialogue, and camera work, and a philosophical edge on everything and anything. This time the milieu is two lesbian couples coming to grips with life and death, art, and motherhood. But that only scratches the surface.
