Having just read &quot;Why America Slept&quot; by Gerald Posner, I thought first it was the HBO series printed of the cover. It&apos;s exactly the same narrative. But this show highlights some key elements that I don&apos;t remember to have read in the book and they change everything: For Posner, America slept: White House, FBI, CIA have all the pieces of the puzzle but they were incompetent to put it together to discover and prevent the attacks.

Here, you&apos;ll understand that the one and only CIA knew it all but CIA kept its mouth shut. This isn&apos;t my saying it&apos;s the national security adviser, Richard Clarke. You learn that using planes as weapons was known from CIA since 1995, that the Oklahoma bombing isn&apos;t just right-wing militia, all the secret history behind the flying school in Florida and that Clinton was adamant to catch Bin Laden while Bush was just interested to follow an agenda written for the 80&apos;s. Furthermore, the mastermind of the 9/11 could have been neutralized in 98 but a mole in Quatar or US allowed him to escape.
