""Bob's Busy Day" is a very confusing film when it first begins. While it was released in the 1940s, it's obvious the print is about 10 years older. This is because the footage originally came from a full-length film called "Going Spanish" but someone later edited out all the singing and kept all the laughs...or, shall I say 'so-called laughs'?! The film is simply terrible. It's jokes are dreadful and very contrived. One example of the crap in this film is the Hispanic place Bob Hope visits...'Los Pochos-Eggos'. And, when he's in Los ..."

Released in 1942 by the then newly-formed "roadhouse" company, Comedy House, Bob's Busy Day started life as "Going Spanish", a two-reeler from 1934 produced by Educational Pictures, but after undergoing extensive editing and a name change, the result was a one-reeler that retains all the comedic scenes from "Going Spanish", but without the musical interludes.
