"In all honesty, I didn't really jump on the freight train for this film. It's well made, gritty, and respectably acted for the most part. The only thing I will say is it makes a strong statement about stories written by "the other." A normal Hollywood production on this subject matter would have lacked the nuance and cultural sensitivity the story demanded. Rather than subtle nods to issues within the Native American community and reservation life in general, a major production would have glossed all of those issues over.
