The film shares many similarities to Sam Mendes' Road to Perdition (2002); a longtime, trusted hitman (Tom Hanks, Liam Neeson) is put at odds with their boss (Paul Newman, Ed Harris) when their sons make things personal (Daniel Craig, Boyd Holbrook) and target their own children (Tyler Hoechlin, Joel Kinnaman).
