Perfluorinated chemicals are also known as "eternal pollutants", because they do not degrade in nature. They tick almost all the danger boxes: harmful effects on the reproductive, cognitive and immunological systems, and on thyroid hormones. Yet manufacturers use them for their non-stick and anti-stain properties. Martin Boudot and a team of independent researchers have measured perfluoride levels in the air, soil, water from the Rhône, drinking water from the Lyon region and in the breast milk of young mothers exposed to them. The "Vert de rage" team thus uncovered massive pollution.
