"Way too much of the film portrays nothing much more than two irksome punks in their pranking glory; but as it plods to a head, it is revealed that one of them is a loathsome sociopath leading the way to tragedy. Excellent acting, especially by James Caan as the crotchety old man with a bitter edge whose character develops powerfully.
