"Te estoy amando locamente" is named after the Spanish song of the same title. The song was written by Felipe Campuzano and was initially released in 1973 by the singing group Las Grecas. In 1974 it gained further recognition when recorded and released separately by two other artists, Nydia Caro and Los Candelos. Other covers: Raffaella Carrà in 1996, Marc Parrot as El Chaval de la Peca in 1998, Hakim in 2000, and Yerba Buenal! in 2005.
