"Heavy Eyes starts off quite scary-perhaps because it feels surprisingly realistic at first. Then it quickly shifts gears into something else, something reminiscent of several doppelgänger-themed horror shorts I've seen before. But just as I thought I knew where it was going, the story changed direction again and began dropping major plot twists-and that's when I got a bit lost. In principle, the twists were interesting and made the short feel unique, but they also made it a little messy. Honestly, I would've preferred a slightly more straightforward story progression...."
