Gabriel Byrne is terrific as Quirke, he's a fascinating character, brilliantly performed, so good that we get to learn his back story, his place in life, and how smart he is. I loved the story, so utterly bleak and nasty, but captivating and intriguing nonetheless. Terrific production values, this is incredibly well made, atmospheric and moody.
