For the non-Hispanics in the audience: there is actually no show called "Corte Caliente," However, Marilyn Milian, who plays Judge Justicia, is the judge on the daily legal show, "Justice for the People with Judge Milian," which premiered in syndication in fall 2023, and before that hosted "The People's Court" (1997) for 22 seasons, where she was the first female judge. She also was the first Hispanic judge on a television court show. She went to Harvard Law School for one year, yet received her law degree from Georgetown Law School, where she graduated cum laude. She was appointed to the Miami Circuit Court by Florida Governor Jeb Bush in 1999, where she served in the Criminal Division.
