"I was very lucky to be a in the background as an extra, and even luckier my scene was not cut!!! I got to see behind the curtain/movie magic being made. Great director, and all the actors I met were awesome. Very friendly and himble. I am not from Winterset, but I have lived there for 8 years. Was great to see so many local spots filmed, as well as real "props" used! I assure you that the scenes where you can see the actors breath in the cold, is 100% real and 100% winter in Iowa! Haha...."
