"Being of Neapolitan decent, I'll have to admit that how well the era, Neapolitan culture and surroundings of this film were represented is what kept my attention throughout this film. Though set in an era before my time this film brought out a feeling of nostalgia for me. I guess via a connection to my parents being of that era. Same way I felt a connection watching My Brilliant Friend. Aesthetically this is a beautiful film. The film is very well cast with very strong acting from most of the cast.
