Bland and one sided
"The documentary concerns three episodes with the first two concerning them with life in East Germany and Czechoslovakia respectively. However, we get to know nothing in detail about the political systems in place or insight into historical characters. All we have is testimonies from random people that the documentarians found. And these aren't chosen from statistically random. Almost all of them had a negative view of the past (which is ironical because there is a resurgence of nostalgia for communist era in some Eastern bloc countries); the BBC couldn't have chosen a more biased vie..."
