"The whole episode depends on believing that suburbanites don't know what a Ring Doorbell camera is. Why they don't know this is not really explained, which is a shame. The episode has a nice tip of the hat to Rear Window and is a decent episode overall. However, I can't help thinking that in the constant attempts for new and original concepts, the writers sometimes get gimmicky, and this Ring Doorbell concept limited what this story could have been. It lended voyeurism qualities to the episode which I suppose is what they were going for, playing on the stereotypes of voyeurist..."
