"The acting is weak, the animation is disappointing, and the musical score is completely mismatched to the tone. Critical explanations from the book were either absent or poorly conveyed, making it confusing for newcomers. I wouldn't watch it again, but for little kids it's a good movie. I just would recommend to read the book (or all of them) before watching the movie...."
