"My apologies to the writers of Slow Horses. After Episode 1 of Season 5 I voiced (in an IMDB review) my doubts as to the content and direction of the season. While most of the episode was great the two political players - the Mayor and his rival - seemed like overblown stereotypes. It appeared that the writers were going to make a political and social point with the season. This, to me, would have undermined the integrity and neutrality of the show. Thankfully I was wrong in that regard. It turns out the stereotypes served another purpose, a far more noble and necessary one - to make fun of p..."
