"This film is totally unworthy of Isabelle Huppert. I can see her in anything, and usually I am astonished by her acting, but along with ' Ma Mere ' this must be one of her worst films. I have not seen all her films, so I reserve judgement. If it has any resemblance to the story of ' Madame Bovary ' it lies in the nature of boredom. Flaubert's novel depicts boredom and dreams and this film is pure and utter boredom in itself.
