The initial idea for "Read To Me, Heidi" came to Heidi when in the hospital recovering from spinal tumor surgery. She had to re-learn how to walk again, & it took her 3 years of using a cane, & then back to walking.

While there, she noticed many children were recovering (some from cancer, or other ailments or diseases), and had no family in their rooms. There were large chunks of time when these children could use a good story or fairytale to help them sleep ie) nap or get to bed at night.

Heidi's LIVE-TIME readings of fairytales/stories, entertain, encourage, & help children of all ages by nourishing them this way & to laugh."

Stories encourage kids to keep going & not give up, no matter what they're going through! "Read To Me, Heidi" is entertaining, & children also learn & get encouraged through the morals of each story.

This idea extended further, & now this channel's for ALL children everywhere around the globe! Everyone needs good stories, esp. these days!

Heidi is actress/VO artist Heidi Schooler. She's had 20+ yrs. experience as an actress, & doing VO in cartoons, video games, movies, TV, etc. as many unusual &/or zany characters.

So, LIVE-TIME means Heidi acts out all the voices in the story, with no stopping in between characters:

Heidi Narrates/Re-enacts the story through the characters' words, different accents, attitudes, or speech impediments, & as all kinds of creatures: furry little animals & insects, to witches, sorceresses, elves, fairies, humans, & everything in between! Her 1st- hand acting & VO experience make the stories sound more LIVELY & FUN to listen to!

Her curious mouse puppet Millicent joins her: who always asks questions children may ask, & "Read To Me, Heidi" explains/answers all... & "Read To Me, Heidi" was born!
