"The show is funny and quirky. The setting of 19th century Spain is a nice change to the "typical" 19th century setting of England. (Maybe I have just read way too many novels from that time period.) The show is well designed and written with all its plot twists and surprises, and I would have given it a very high rating but I was very disappointed in the very end of the show. The next season was sooo set up that the emotional satisfaction was lacking. Don't build up a main character and her arch to end on such a cliffhanger.
