"The first season was cool- wildcard times and general food challenge that normal people eat, like burgers and whatnot. Second season the put standard timers on each round- host started acting like a smartass and the had these oddball dish "ideas"... Keep it simple and you win. Get all "chiefy" and you're going to lose viewers. I did like the up and comers on the show to teach viewers who the new cooks are... seems like they were brining on some older FoodNetwork grinders to maybe pick up viewers ??
