π‘ Did You Know?
Many people experience nausea after witnessing shaky camera film movements in a movie. Part of the inspiration for this film comes from Michel Treisman's Poison Theory hypothesis, which proposes that motion sickness is caused by difficulties in eye or head movements when the relationships between the spatial frameworks defined by visual, vestibular, or interoception inputs are repeatedly and unpredictably perturbed. Certain types of motion and abnormalities in sensory input or motor control caused by toxins consumed can cause such perturbations. The primary function of vomiting is to purge the body of ingested neurotoxins, with motion sickness being an unintentional outcome.
