Blimey, they&apos;ve only gone and done it! Episode 2 properly kicks things up a notch and suddenly this twisted game of cat and mouse feels like it&apos;s got some actual teeth.

Egerton and Smollett&apos;s partnership is starting to sizzle (sorry, not sorry).

The chemistry between Dave and his detective counterpart feels less forced now... they&apos;re both clearly mental in their own special ways, which makes for cracking television. There&apos;s this brilliant scene where they&apos;re examining burn patterns that&apos;s simultaneously gorgeous and utterly disturbing.

The arsonists are getting bolder, and frankly, more interesting. Without spoiling anything, let&apos;s just say one particular fire scene had me proper glued to the screen. The visual storytelling is absolutely bonkers in the best way; like watching beautiful destruction unfold in slow motion.

Pacing&apos;s much tighter this week. None of that first episode faff about... they&apos;ve found their rhythm and it shows. The dialogue&apos;s sharper, the stakes feel real, and there&apos;s this underlying sense of dread that&apos;s deliciously uncomfortable.

Bottom Line: Right, now we&apos;re cooking with gas! This is what I was hoping for from episode one. Brilliant character work, stunning visuals, and enough twisted psychology to keep you coming back for more.
