"Dorothy Devore is thrilled by low-life crooks and has them to tea. This displeases two people: her mother, and sweetheart Earle Rodney. Rodney is a bank clerk. So he works out a gag with the crooks as they leave Miss Devore place with most of her mother's silverware. One of them will write her a note asking her to come witness their breaking into Rodney's bank. She's thrilled and goes. Her mother finds the note and informs the police. In other words, it's a late "practical joke" film, eked out with a couple of switches, including cops that are happy to help out. ..."
